Miranda Kerr: Aussie model and entrepreneur swaps brown mane for blonde wig in latest transformation
International model Miranda Kerr has achieved more than most since fleeing rural New South Wales as a teen, with the Aussie, 42, connecting the dots between her personal life and career endeavours in a cover shoot for Marie Claire Australia.
Proving she’s still as marketable as ever almost 20 years after making her Victoria’s Secret runway debut, the mother-of-four traded her familiar brown locks for a sunlit blonde wig as she posed gracefully in Dior, Louis Vuitton, and Anthony Vacarello for the outlet’s April edition.
The powerful export was also seen prancing under the Hollywood sun in a pink Tory Burch dress, but she’s not as footloose and fancy free as she may seem — balancing motherhood with a successful skincare company.
Based in Los Angeles, Kerr is married to Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel whom she shares three sons, and co-parents her eldest Flynn, 15, with ex-husband Orlando Bloom.
A quiet achiever in business, the Aussie’s certified-organic skincare brand and greatest venture KORA Organics turns 20 this year, retailing in more than 30 countries, with Kerr’s championing of healthy self-care alternatives at the forefront of her work.
“Often, I’ll say to myself, ‘Why am I doing this again?’ But I truly believe in my heart that people deserve this type of skincare,” she told the outlet.
The entrepreneur admitted she has considered selling the business, but faces strong opposition from her six-year-old Myles who dreams of being CEO one day.
Raising four kids in a world unimaginable to the one the ambitious country kid experienced, Kerr and her husband are “deeply conscious” of grounding their kids in humility — practicing gratitude with them on the way to school.
The mother also introspects, grateful for what she holds dear.
“My body has really changed from four pregnancies, but I worry less about ageing now than I ever have,” she said.
“When you’re connected to that inner part of yourself – and your family – and know they understand and appreciate and value who you are, I think that’s all that matters.”
