Adelaide man charged after allegedly biting police officer’s ear at KFC restaurant

A man has been charged after allegedly biting a police officer’s ear at a KFC restaurant when he refused to leave.
Police were called to the fast food joint on Pulteney St in Adelaide after a 23-year-old Bridgewater man allegedly caused a disturbance and refused to leave the store just before 11.30pm on Wednesday.
It is alleged the man jumped the counter and assaulted three employees before they called police for help.
The man is alleged to have punched an officer responding to the call, before biting him on the ear while being restrained.

The man was arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass, three counts of assault, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.
“The fast-food workers were not injured but were shaken by the incident,” a police spokesman said.
“The police officer required medical treatment for facial injuries.”
The man was due to face court on Thursday.
