Keith Urban has reportedly been left reeling after his daughter Sunday Rose appeared to send a “pointed” message by briefly unfollowing him on Instagram following his split from Nicole Kidman.
The 17-year-old, Urban’s eldest child with Kidman, quietly unfollowed the country star earlier this week while continuing to follow her mother, according to Sky News. Although she re-followed him a few hours later, insiders claim the move did not go unnoticed.
“Sunday knew exactly what she was doing,” a source told journalist Rob Shuter.
“It was a pointed move, and Keith got the message loud and clear.”
According to the same source, Kidman stepped in and urged her daughter to reverse course, despite being aware of her frustrations.
“Nicole was the one who told her to take the high road and cut it out,” they continued.
“She understood why Sunday was upset, but she also knew making it public would only make things worse.
“Keith is hurt. He knows this wasn’t just about Instagram. It was personal.”
Urban and Kidman, both 58, finalised their divorce in January after announcing their separation in September 2025, ending their 19-year marriage.
Since the split, Sunday has been outspoken in her support for her mother, previously calling her her “biggest inspiration” in an interview with Elle.
“My mum is someone who has always been so creative and my biggest inspiration in life. She’s a key part of everything I do,” she said.
Sunday and her younger sister Faith Margaret, 15, continue to live with Kidman, while Urban is scheduled to see them “every other weekend”.
Sources say the relationship between the singer and his daughters remains strained.
“[The girls] are completely team Nicole and, right now, Keith is the bad guy. He is the cause of every problem in their minds, and it’s harrowing for him,” a source told Daily Mail.
“He’s really distraught about it. He loves those girls, but they are so angry at him and they’re blaming him.
“I don’t even think this is Nicole painting a narrative, this is the girls coming to this conclusion on their own.”
Kidman filed for divorce in September,2025, after 19 years, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
