Man hospitalised with gunshot wound to leg after Greenacre shooting

An alleged gunman has been captured on CCTV fleeing a Sydney property moments after a man was allegedly shot in the leg.
Emergency services received reports two men were shot at on a driveway along Old Kent Rd at Greenacre about 7.15pm on Wednesday.
Police were also called to the Bankstown Hospital emergency department after a 26-year old man arrived with a gunshot wound to his leg about the same time.

Sign upCrime scenes were established at Greenacre and the hospital while police carried out an investigation into the shooting.
Detective Inspector Nathan Green told 7News the offender approached the victim on foot and fired a number of shots at him in the driveway.
“The victim is known to police however is not assisting at this stage,” he said.

“It was a brazen attack and we are fortunate that nobody was more seriously injured or killed as a result.
“We are hopeful there were people around that can shed some light and we urge them to come forward with any information to help us solve this matter.”
Detectives urged anyone with information, including CCTV or dashcam vision showing the movements of the Audi before and after the incident to contact Crime Stoppers.
