GMSV has announced a new, off-roading variant of the Chevrolet Silverado will soon arrive into Aussie showrooms.

The Silverado LT Trail Boss is available for orders now from $106,990 plus on-roads and is set reach our shores mid-year.

It differentiates itself from the Silverado LTZ Premium by adding a factory-fitted suspension lift-kit which increases ride height by 25mm at the front and 30mm at the rear, plus Rancho monotube shocks, a mechanical rear locking differential, 18-inch black wheels, hill descent control, a heavy-duty air filter and skid plates.

Inside, there’s a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel and 10-way powered and heated front seats, with a steering column-mounted gear shifter to free up console space.

It has a 6.2-litre EcoTec3 V8 petrol engine under the bonnet, offering 313kW and 624Nm and paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

It also has a remote vehicle starter system, while body-coloured bumpers and a black painted bumper bar aim to create a more rugged appearance.

Walkinshaw Automotive Group will remanufacture the vehicles to right hand drive in Australia.

“LT Trail Boss personifies what Silverado is all about,” Ms Stogiannis said.

“It’s big, it’s tough and it comes ingrained with brand-DNA which showcases qualities of strength, power, performance and no-nonsense work-hard attributes.”
