2025 Tesla Model 3 Performance priced for Australia
The fastest Tesla on sale in Australia has been priced – and rather than a nasty price hike, it’s been treated to a price cut.
Priced from $80,900 before on-road costs, the 2025 Model 3 Performance – unveiled earlier today – is $2500 cheaper than the pre-update version removed from sale in 2023.
It also represents at huge cut relative to the variant’s peak price of more than $100,000 before on-roads from July 2020.

READ NOWHeadlining the update for the Tesla Model 3 Performance is a power boost. Its dual electric motors now produce a combined 343kW on models made in China, down from the 358kW figure of its predecessor.
This has resulted in an even faster 0-100km/h time, now sitting at a claimed 3.1 seconds – 0.2 seconds quicker than the car it replaces.
Along with more go, Tesla has given the car more stopping power in the form of larger calipers and rotors hiding behind staggered-width 20-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
The Model 3 Performance is now equipped with adaptive suspension by Koni, a feature previously reserved for the larger, faster and more expensive Model S Plaid.
Inside the cabin has also benefited from a Performance-specific overhaul, with more supportive front sports seats, carbon fibre trim, as well as metal accelerator and brake pedal covers.
Drivers can select from four drive modes – Chill, Standard, Insane and Track – with the latter reserved for closed-course activities, now allowing those behind the wheel to adjust the torque split between the front and rear wheels.
