Located in the suburb of Ledge Point, just south of Lancelin, is this large beachside fortress made for investors or large adventurous families.

The home has been used as a bed and breakfast for many years and includes four ensuites, making it the ideal home for large families or for rental accommodation purposes.

Ray White Lancelin Principal and Licensee Caroline Daniel said the home would be great for those who were looking for an investment for the future.

“It’s not a residential home per se, because all the rooms have ensuites and it’s quite a big house,” she said.

“A lot of investors who want to create an Airbnb, or something like that, would love this home.”

Sitting on a 998sqm block, this expansive property boasts a large front yard and palm trees, projecting a true ‘up north’ and spacious feel.

Entering the front door, the interior possesses a retro aesthetic thanks to the feature staircase and timber accents.

Large living areas and the exposed feature wall in the middle of the home gives it great character, which complements the simple and clean kitchen.

“There is a huge kitchen downstairs with an ocean view,” Ms Daniel said. “Also downstairs is a little granny flat which has wheelchair access.”

The granny flat provides another bedroom and bathroom to the property, with Ms Daniel saying the bed and breakfast is still performing well and had also done so throughout COVID-19.

“It’s currently a holiday rental and doing very well, even during COVID-19 for six months it was fully rented with workers,” she said.

Parts of the home have already seen some renovations, with several rooms in the house given a more modern makeover with great effect thanks to the size of the rooms. The ceiling-high tiling in the bathrooms is also a great feature of the home.

“Yes, it does have bits and pieces that need to be done, but apart from that it is well built,” Ms Daniel said.

“If you decide to rent out, it’s a house you can definitely make money from.”

Outside there is plenty of entertainment and parking space for cars, boats and caravans.

“There are two big courtyards outside for entertainment as well and a lot of room for enjoyment,” Ms Daniel said.

“You have two sides – one is where the garage is, while the other side is great for boats or caravans. It’s built for ample space for boating, fishing and camping equipment, and vehicles.”

Ms Daniel said the future of Ledge Point was looking incredibly fruitful with extensions of the Mitchell Freeway to Yanchep and a marina in the works.

“There is going to be a future marina in Ledge Point. With the marina, this would make a perfect holiday rental house,” she said.

“I can see that people are finding Lancelin and Ledge Point, being just an hour away from Perth, are far enough to get away for a holiday and near enough to get back to Perth.”

Ms Daniel said the suburb of Ledge Point was a little hideout, with the size of this property making for a great investment as the area continued to grow.

“It is very close to the beach and the nearby shops, and because of the marina they will join the road between Ledge Point and Lancelin to further connect the two suburbs,” she said.
