Blendcraft

You’ve likely seen the pretty as a picture Erewhon smoothies splashed across social media, or perhaps set out to buy one yourself while holidaying in LA, gawping at its $30 price tag. The good news is that foodies can now get a taste of the craze at home as wellness cafe Blendcraft opens in Hawaiian’s Melville. It offers health-spiked smoothies with ingredients including activated charcoal, goji and chia seeds as well as matcha, coffee and something for the kids too.

Sofie Laguna

The author of the Miles Franklin-winning The Eye Of The Sheep is touring her much-awaited new novel, The Underworld, including a stop in Perth. Described as a “book for all readers; thinkers, laughers, empaths, quirky folk, nostalgists, the young and the slightly less young” Laguna says her first love story has been the hardest to write, taking five years, but she loves it more than anything else she’s written. She will be at Old Courthouse in Fremantle on November 10 and Beaufort Street Books on November 11, both at 6.30pm.

Kučka

The award-winning electronic artist comes home to WA 10 years after her breakout debut, to play the official launch party for AGWA’s major exhibition from artist Paola Pivi. As well as her own music, Kučka has written for A$AP Rocky, Vince Staples and Kendrick Lamar, and will play the gallery rooftop as it unveils Pivi’s vibrant, ambitious I don’t like it, I love it exhibition. The event is 7pm-11pm on November 8; the exhibition is free but bookings are required. Tickets for the launch party, which also includes a performance from Ricky Neil Jr. are from $59 from artgallery.wa.gov.au.
