Red Hot Summer Talk about a line-up: this outdoor show will be headlined by none other than Crowded House, with support from Angus and Julia Stone, The Church, Mark Seymour with Vika and Linda Bull, and The Waifs. Crowded House will bring the band behind its Gravity Stairs album from last year; Neil Finn, Nick Seymour, Mitchell Froom and Finn’s sons Elroy and Liam. Perth Women’s International Jazz Festival This Perth first is being run by the Ellington Jazz Club and headlined by Grammy Award-winning bassist and composer Linda May Han Oh, who grew up in Floreat. The New York based musician, an associate professor at the Berklee College of Music, will play alongside a line-up of local and interstate guests at the festival, which “reflects the progressive spirit of our city, amplifies underrepresented voices, and celebrates gender diversity in jazz”.
