Troye Sivan

The global music star is reissuing his Blue Neighbourhood debut album — written partly about growing up in Perth and approaching 10 billion streams — for its tenth anniversary, with special art from illustrator Hsiao-Ron Cheng. The re-release will also include two extra tracks, much loved and requested by fans: Strawberries & Cigarettes (from the 2018 film Love, Simon and a sleeper hit with more than a billion streams) and Swimming Pools, previously on an exclusive version. Blue Neighbourhood — Ten Years On is only available on special blush and blue vinyl, CD and cassette, and will be released on February 13. Pre-orders are open now.

Glory Days

Aussie brand Bondi Active is throwing it back to the seventies for its latest summer collection. With a palette of browns, blush, gold and smokey blues on pieces including towelling shirts, wrap skirts and vintage-inspired tees, Bondi Active describes the Glory Days collection as “a sun-drenched throwback to the gritty, gold era of 70’s football”. Though we love a linen set moment, it’s nice to see something different in summer fashion. Shop at bondiactive.com.

Meat & Wine Co

The waterfront South Perth spot long home to the iconic Coco’s restaurant has a new tenant. The 200-seat Meat & Wine Co focuses on both a la carte dishes, including its signature steaks, a scallop ceviche and a delectable-looking roasted cauli, plus a “Safari” menu that leans on the brand’s African heritage; think a hearty lamb curry in a hollowed out loaf and a slow-braised lamb potjie. The restaurant opened this week and bookings are open now.

Lulu Wood

Perth’s Lulu Wood has gone from strength to strength in her international modelling career from Vogue covers to Gucci runways. But we must admit it’s nice to see her back on home soil featuring in Australian brand Rebecca Vallance’s Holiday and Resort 2025 Collection campaign. Welcome back, Lu!

FreakHaus X Mary Street Bakery

If you are looking for a mouth-watering calendar to get you through 2026, this collaboration between luxury florist FreakHaus and the beloved Mary Street Bakery could fit the bill. The limited edition A4 calendar combines creativity, via food imagery and FreakHaus’s bold design, with the practicality of having WA public and school holidays all noted. The duo has also worked together on a donut, covered in an Aperol glaze and filled with an orange Aperol curd and marmalade. Both donuts and calendars are available at the bakeries or online.

Salty tees

Do you know someone who can be a bit salty? Are you, perhaps, a little salty yourself? These cute t-shirts would make a fun Christmas present and the bonus is that all proceeds go to a great cause: Conquer Cystic Fibrosis. “Salty” is more than a cheeky slogan; people with cystic fibrosis have higher salt levels in their sweat, which is used to detect the condition. The cotton shirts are screen-printed in the South West and are available in kids and adult sizes and a range of colours, with all profits going to the volunteer-run CCF to help families. Buy online at the-salty-mamas-club.square.site/s/shop.
