Albany detectives call for information after alleged assault at Kojonup service station

Detectives are calling for information about an altercation at a Kojonup service station last month which has led to three men being charged.

About 5.55pm last Friday, a 42-year-old man parked his vehicle and trailer at the service station on Albany Highway.

A blue Ford Falcon sedan with four occupants pulled up to the next fuel bowser.

Police will allege an altercation occurred between the 42-year-old victim and three men from the Ford Falcon, which resulted in the victim being punched several times.

An item was allegedly stolen from the victim’s vehicle.

A 23-year-old Kojonup man has been charged with acts or ommissions causing bodily harm and is due to appear at the Perth Magistrate’s Court on August 7.

A 31-year-old Kojonup man and a 34-year-old man from Derby have been charged with stealing. They are due to appear at Albany Magistrate’s Court on August 31.

The investigation is ongoing and Albany detectives would like to speak to anyone who was at the service station at the time.
