More than $5000 was donated to Albany Foodbank as part of the Albany Golf Club’s annual Charity Day on Thursday, October 8.

The AGC nominated Albany Foodbank as its charity of choice this year and 100 entrants, male and female, hit the fairways to play a crystal ball Stableford format.

The event generated a lot of fun and extra revenue for the chosen charity.

Meat packs were auctioned and wine used in raffles as part of the fundraising efforts. All goods were donated.

The entry fee for each player was donated back to the total amount raised on the day.

In total, the club were able to raise $5672 from the event.

A cheque was handed over to Albany Foodbank’s Rob Pfeiffer last Thursday.
