A quick Google search turns up that there are at least seven specialty shoe shops in Albany in addition to roughly 10 Op shops or recycling stores that sell shoes.

So, with this abundance of supply, why are there so many people in Albany that don’t seem to own or wish to wear any?

OK, popping into the fish and chip shop to collect your order at a beachside vendor or ducking in the side door to pay for your petrol at a servo may be slightly acceptable, but spending up to an hour in a crowded major grocery retailer on Christmas Eve is not.

With the pandemic still rife, what is the point of wearing masks and using hand sanitisers if this extremely unhygienic practice is tolerated?

Most used to post notices reading “NO SHOES = NO ENTRY” to venues just for health reasons alone — say nothing of the manners and etiquette of shoeless patrons.

Ditto for shirts as well.
