Punters will be able to kick back with a couple of coldies this long weekend at the 2021 Divers Tavern Broome Beer and Cider Festival.

Held at the town’s Divers Tavern Beach Bar, the festival invites members of the community and travellers passing through to stop by for a sip.

On the menu are some of WA’s best beer and cider companies, including Feral, Rocky Ridge, Spinifex, Little Creatures, James Squire, Roleystone and Beerfarm breweries.

The festival will be packed with entertainment, with live performances from local musicians including a Saturday night gig with Broome band Third Wheel.

The talented trio includes Damian Watkiss on guitar and drums, Mick Stephens on keyboard and percussion, and Monique Le Lievre on guitar and ukulele.

The beer and cider will be accompanied by a generous selection of food, with an array of food trucks in attendance and the Divers kitchen remaining open all weekend.

Divers Tavern events co-ordinator Jenn Nicolson said she was excited for this year’s festival, after COVID-19 prevented it from going ahead last year.

“We are expecting a great turnout at this year’s festival; we are always busy around this time and I’m sure this year will be no different,” she said.

“We get travellers that come from surrounding towns and some people from as far as Perth.”

The three-day festival will run from June 5 to 7, starting from noon and kicking on until late each day.
