Busselton and Dunsborough to pay respects to fallen Diggers

Busselton and Dunsborough residents will pay their respects to fallen Diggers next week with two annual Anzac Day parades and services.

A dawn service will be held at the new Busselton War Memorial in Rotary Park on Causeway Road, opposite the City of Busselton Administration Building at 5.45am.

A gunfire breakfast will be held from 6.30am, before the march, which will form up at Mitchell Park, marching down Queen Street, through the lights and across the Vasse River to the new war memorial.

This will be followed by a 9.35am service and a 10.30am morning tea with the Busselton RSL, followed by lunch, with proceeds going to Busselton Water Polo.

There will be full bar service and two-up running throughout the day, with part-proceeds going to Legacy Camp.

In Dunsborough, those participating in the parade can meet at Lions Park at 10.30am before setting off at 10.45am to march down Dunn Bay Road to Centennial Park.

The service will begin at 11am at the war memorial in Centennial Park.

Those bringing a wreath are asked to be ready to come up with it and leave it on the war memorial.
