Sensational netballer Charlie Allen, 17, was the Busselton Freight Services Rising Sports Star for April and hoped to trial for WA State next month.

The goal attack, right, said she loved how she was able to meet many different people through the sport.

“Most of my friends have come from netball and have been long-lasting friends,” she said.

During COVID-19 restrictions, the sports star wasn’t able to use netball courts or train with her team.

Allen said during this time she did a variety of activities to keep her fitness up, including gym work, skipping and conditioning.

“I’m working on making it to State WA under-19s and having a good season, training well and improving overall,” she said.
