Coronavirus crisis: One new COVID-19 hospital admission overnight

A West Australian has been admitted to hospital with coronavirus.

Health Minister Roger Cook said today a person had been admitted to hospital after being sick with coronavirus.

They were not in a serious condition.

The number of active COVID-19 cases in WA remains at 6.

Mr Cook said two West Australians were last week confirmed as having had coronavirus after undergoing a serology laboratory test.

One had been on a cruise ship weeks ago

The other had casual contact with a Covid carrier, also weeks ago.

They were not infectious now.

The total number of infections was now 556.
