Key changes to Perth and Peel post-lockdown you need to know

Here is your one-minute guide to the key post-lockdown Perth and Peel rules in place until February 14 as lockdown ends tonight at 6pm:

  • Everyone must wear a mask in public and while at work — unless exempt or for outdoor exercise
  • All business and venues can reopen, except for the casino and nightclubs
  • 4SQM capacity rule and 150-person capacity at hospitality, entertainment, fitness venues and events including weddings, funerals
  • Up to 150 players, officials and spectators at community sport events
  • Seated service only at hospitality venues
  • Dancing only permitted at weddings and dance studios
  • 20-person limit for private indoor and outdoor gatherings
  • Visits to aged care and disability care facilities restricted to compassionate grounds and advocates
  • Schools to resume with a COVID Safety Plan. Staff and high school students must wear masks.
  • Only essential travel including work is permitted in and out of the Perth and Peel regions
  • Elective surgery to resume at public hospitals
  • FIFO workers will once again be able to leave the Perth and Peel regions
  • Anyone who fails to sign in to venues, either with the SafeWA app or by pen and paper, will be fined
