Mark McGowan press conference at 1pm to reveal WA coronavirus restrictions

VideoPremier Mark McGowan has announced eased restrictions for Perth and Peel from midnight tomorrow, with masks only required on public transport and large events.

West Australians will no longer be required to wear face masks in most circumstances under a plan to ease coronavirus restrictions.

No new local cases have been recorded for a fifth straight day after a hotel security guard and his two housemates tested positive on the weekend.

Premier Mark McGowan said in a press conference this afternoon that all of the close contacts linked to the cluster have now returned negative tests but remain in quarantine.

Authorities believe there has been no further spread of the virus.
