The cluster of COVID cases associated with The Library nightclub has spiked to 14 - accounting for the majority of the 22 new infections diagnosed overnight.

Five of those cases were announced late on Friday as health authorities continue to appeal for anyone that attended the “Club Bootylicious” event at The Library in Northbridge on the night of January 22 to immediately get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Eight people that attended the party, which lasted until 5am on Sunday, January 23, have so far tested positive – as have six of their close contacts.

Of the remaining eight new cases, six have been linked to known clusters in the South West, Safety Bay, Rockingham, Willagee and Wheatbelt areas.

There are now 131 exposure sites in WA.
