A serious crash has shutdown a major highway in Perth’s southeast on Monday night.

Emergency services including police, fire and ambulance crews rushed to a crash on South Western Highway in Jarrahdale just after 9pm.

The southbound collision just before Watkins Road has closed the highway as emergency services work to assist those injured.

WA Police urged motorists to avoid the area.

Injuries are unknown at this stage.
