Karratha Airport crash kills elderly man

An elderly man has died in a horror crash in WA’s north on Saturday morning.

The 73-year-old man was exiting Karratha Airport on Bayly Avenue about 8.15am when his Toyota RAV 4 collided with a Toyota Hilux.

The Hilux driver, a woman aged in her 30s, was driving south on Dampier Highway at the time.

She was uninjured in the crash, however, the elderly man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

Major Crash investigation officers travelled to the scene yesterday and have launched a probe into the crash.
