Lake Clifton car crash leaves driver and passenger with serious injuries in hospital

Two people are in hospital following a serious single-car rollover in Lake Clifton yesterday.

Police are investigating the the crash, which occurred just after 2.50pm, as a Holden Commodore was travelling north on the Forrest Highway.

About 650m north of Old Coast Road, the driver lost control of the car. It left the road and flew up an embankment before hitting thick scrub causing it to roll over.

The 32-year-old male driver of the Commodore received serious injuries and was airlifted by the RAC Rescue helicopter to Royal Perth Hospital.

His 29-year-old female passenger also received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to the same hospital.

Investigators would like to speak to anyone who saw the crash, or the Holden Commodore travelling in the area prior to the crash.
