Four passengers have been injured after a light plane crash in Western Australia.

WA police say the pilot was landing the plane at Murrayfield Airpark about 9am on Monday and attempted to abort the landing.

Investigators believe the aircraft struck the ground nose first, causing the plane to flip onto its roof.

Three adults were taken to Royal Perth Hospital and a child was transported to Perth Children's Hospital.

Their injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.
