Dramatic footage released of burning car allegedly used in gangland hit
Dramatic footage has emerged of a car erupting in flames in a suburban Sydney street after it was believed to have been used in a gangland murder.
Police believe the vehicle dumped and set ablaze on Murdock Lane, Guilford on Wednesday morning was used in the slaying of a father and son related to the Hamzy crime family.
Two members of the notorious family, believed to be Salim Hamze, 18, and his father Toufik Hamze, 64, were shot dead on Wednesday morning while sitting inside a parked ute outside a Guildford home.
Emergency crews were called to Osgood St, Guildford just before 9am following reports of a shooting.

In footage published by 9 News, fierce flames and black smoke was seen billowing out from inside the burning car.
Its horn was blaring and loud bangs were heard as glass windows blew out from the intense heat.
Shocked witnesses recorded the mobile phone videos and a woman could be heard screaming in the background.
The shooting is believed to be the latest incident in a bloody underworld war between the rival Hamzy and Alameddine crime groups.
Salim Hamze died at the scene while his father died after being treated and taken to hospital.
“Numerous police resources are conducting inquiries into the incident,” NSW Police said.
The deadly shooting comes just a few months after Bilal Hamze was shot dead in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.
Hamze, 34, was gunned down in a hail of bullets as he left an establishment on Bridge St one night in June when persons opened fire from a black vehicle.
He was the cousin of Brothers 4 Life founder Bassam Hamzy.
“Further, officers from the Raptor Squad have commenced proactive intelligence-based targeting of known members and associates of involved criminal networks,” NSW Police said.
No arrests have been made over the murders.
