Photographers deal with a lot of external factors, especially when they need to capture a steady scene in a windy place like Geraldton.

This photo was captured with a DJI Mavic Air 2 drone during a warm February sunset. It is a bird’s-eye view, showing every aspect of Geraldton’s HMAS Sydney II Memorial.

Photographer Shantelle Clarkson uses her Instagram account to share stunning views of the region using a combination of her Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, drone and GoPro Hero 9. This image was accompanied by the hashtag Tuesday Topdown.

“I’m a Geraldton local with a passion for photography, I love exploring and finding different things to capture with either my phone or drone,” she said.

Clarkson said she wasn’t a professional photographer, just a local who loved her hobby and couldn’t wait to see what else she would capture.
