Geraldton mourns and remembers victims of the Bondi massacre on the National Day of Mourning

Flags flew at half mast on Thursday, as Geraldton commemorated the National Day of Mourning for victims of the Bondi massacre.
The City of Greater Geraldton council invited our community to “pause and reflect on the 15 lives lost” in the largest terror attack on Australian soil on December 14.
Flags at city facilities were flown at half-mast, while the Queens Park Theatre was illuminated with white light overnight. The illumination symbolises unity, compassion and hope, in line with the national theme “light will win”.
The day was established to remember and mourn the tragic events that took place in Sydney on December 14, when 15 people died and more were injured in an anti-Semitic attack at Bondi Beach.
