The Geraldton Guardian

Camera IconLess than a year after spontaneously starting Glow Photography, a young photographer has taken the scene by storm by creating smashing snaps featuring the cutest of local talent.Easter is upon us, and Kimberly Douglass is letting kids smash and devour chocolate eggs in her home studio, capturing the madness as it unfolds — a simple yet effective twist on the classic cake-smash picture.“People always tell kids ‘don’t play with your food’ but (in the studio) all the rules fly out the window,” she said.Douglas takes care of the clean-up, but she does feel bad sending little ones home as the sugar rush kicks in.She said she loved taking memorable pictures for families to share, especially at a time like now, while so many loved ones are separated.“When I was younger, my dad always had a camera around... I love taking family photos, capturing memories,” she said.Pictured: Zyla Needham, 6 months. Credit: Glow Geraldton/Glow Geraldton
