Ugle Fabrications La Fiamma have taken a valuable away point in a fiery 1-1 draw against Sutherlands Park FC in round six of the State Amateur League on Sunday afternoon.

The match featured three red cards and tensions threatened to boil over between the two sides.

However, just before half-time Sutherlands were awarded a penalty which they duly converted to equalise.

The game was on a knife’s edge as the second half started, with several players on yellow cards.

Around the 70-minute mark a Sutherlands player was shown a straight red for a headbutt.

Things then went from bad to worse for Sutherlands 10 minutes later as they received a second red card and were down to nine men.

The reds pushed on trying to find a winner with their two-man advantage but were unable to make the breakthrough.

La Fiamma received a red card of their own in the dying moments of the match for a professional foul on the halfway line.

There was no love lost between the two sides as the referee blew his whistle for full-time, with the final score at 1-1.

La Fiamma will face second-placed Baldivis SC at home next Saturday night.
