An allegedly stolen work ute has been caught on camera in Kalgoorlie-Boulder mounting a kerb and hitting another vehicle at speed before driving off erratically last night.

An 18-year-old man was today charged by police with stealing a Ford Falcon sedan and a Mitsubishi Triton utility from two separate locations then evading police when they attempted to stop him.

The man is alleged to have first stolen the Ford Falcon from a Hannan Street motor company, driving through the streets before parking and leaving the vehicle.

He is then alleged to have stolen the Triton with trailer from outside a construction site and become involved in three separate accidents along Egan and Wilson streets, one of which was allegedly caught on dashcam.

The dashcam footage posted to social media this morning by Colin Anderson shows a Goldfields Utility Services work ute towing a trailer loaded with a digger coming around the Wilson and Egan Street roundabout.

The vehicle then speeds up and mounts a kerb to overtake the driver in front, all of which is captured on camera.

Moments later a front-mounted camera in the vehicle being overtaken shows the stolen ute sideswiping the other vehicle at speed, before cutting in front and turning off at the next roundabout.

Police say the vehicle eventually became stuck in bushland and the man was located in nearby bushes

The man is facing 12 charges including aggravated burglary, stealing, failure to stop, driving with a BAC in excess of 0.08 and reckless driving.
