Funding boost for regional arts groups in Goldfields-Esperance region

Four Goldfields-Esperance arts organisations are among 17 Statewide to receive a share of $680,000 annually for three years.

Successful recipients of the Regional Arts Sector Investment program’s latest round of grants will be funded for the next three financial years to 2026-27.

The program provides operational funding for regional arts organisations to support the State’s arts sector.

Wilurarra Creative will receive $65,000 a year to deliver creative programs in the remote Aboriginal community of Warburton.

Ravensthorpe’s Rave About Arts and Esperance’s Cannery Arts Centre will both receive $50,000 a year.

Esperance Community Arts will receive a grant of $25,000 each financial year.

Delivered by Regional Arts WA, RASI is a competitive grants program delivered as part of the Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program.

Culture and the Arts Minister David Templeman said the arts helped connect and strengthen regional communities.

“Not only is it important to have a vibrant arts scene, but it’s also important to have a diverse one — one where many voices can express themselves in many different ways,” he said.
