Turquoise Coast Festival returns to Jurien Bay for second year with music, family fun and fireworks galore

Jurien Bay is gearing up for a spectacular celebration with Saturday’s Turquoise Coast Festival promising a jam-packed day of seaside fun, family entertainment and dazzling fireworks. Hosted by the Jurien Bay Progress Association, the community festival is back for its second year after the success of last year’s debut event. Locals and visitors alike can expect a full day of activities, from sunrise fitness to sunset fireworks, all set against the sparkling backdrop of WA’s stunning Turquoise Coast. The action starts bright and early with a scenic 5km Parkrun along the coastal path, followed by a high-energy jungle gym workout to kickstart the day. Families will love the Kids Zone Marquee, featuring free face painting, animal petting, outdoor games and the ever-popular Monsterball bouncy castles. One of the festival’s most cherished traditions, the blessing of the fleet, sets sail at 10.30am with a flotilla of colourful boats parading past the Jurien Jetty. Mid-West MLA and Nationals WA leader Shane Love will be judging the best-dressed vessels, while Father Simeon will deliver the official blessing. Live entertainment will take centrestage at midday, with performances by the Men’s Shed Band, John Evans, Keely’s cheerleaders and Goodstock — one of Perth’s top cover bands sure to have everyone singing along. The festival fun continues with markets, raffles and even a rope coiling competition, before the night sky lights up with a breathtaking fireworks display over the bay. Festival-goers can pack a picnic, grab a drink and enjoy Jurien Bay’s biggest community event of the year. Tickets are $12 for adults and kids 16 and under are free.
