A desperate search for a missing female hiker has ended in good news.
The woman, whose age and identity has not been revealed, went hiking on Tuesday at Mount Remarkable in South Australia.
When she did not return, emergency services were contacted around 9.15pm.
South Australia Police said PolAir was dispatched overnight and ground searches along trails were conducted by emergency service personnel.
On Wednesday morning, police patrols, mounted operations, and SES volunteers joined the search efforts for the missing woman.
She was located around 10am on Wednesday.
Police said the woman was uninjured and did not require any medical treatment.

Mount Remarkable is about 250 kilometres north of Adelaide and is known for its ancient peaks and dramatic gorges.
