The second semifinals of the Port Hedland Softball Competition was played on Saturday with A-reserve Pirates 2 winning against Cougars 13-11 and the A-grade Pirates defeating Jets 17-6, earning them the last spot in the grand final against Raiders.

In the A-grade, Pirates earned two runs to Jets’ single in the first inning and then three runs in the second, while keeping Jets to nil.

This pattern was repeated in the third and fourth inning, with Pirates having a lead of eight runs.

The final blow was dealt in the sixth inning with Pirates shutting down Jets while earning another four runs to bring the margin to 11.

The A-reserve grand final will pit Raiders 2 against Pirates 2 at 1pm on Saturday.
