BREAKING: Commissioners appointed to Town of Port Hedland
The Town of Port Hedland council has officially been dissolved and replaced by not just one, but three commissioners.
The three commissioners will replace the council until an election is held on March 28, 2026 and the new council has held its first meeting.
The three commissioners appointed by the Local Government Minister Hannah Beazley are former Swan Hills MP Jessica Shaw, who will act as the chair, former MLC Martin Aldridge, who will act as deputy chair, and former Kalgoorlie-Boulder mayor Ron Yuryevich.
