It was an action-packed night at the Marie Marland Reserve last Wednesday when the Cockatoos edged past the G.O.A.Ts in a nailbiter.

In the high-scoring game, the Cockatoos ran five tries to hold a slim one-point lead at half-time, with Lincoln Vile crossing the line twice.

Despite a three-try second half from Rebecca Smith, the G.O.A.Ts fell to the Cockatoos by one point.

The final score was 9-8.

Toby Barr and Vile scored three tries for the Cockatoos, while Smith bagged five in her side’s losing effort. Meanwhile, Triple 0s scored their first win of the season when they downed Phoenix 8-6.

Triple 0s’ Luke Wilson scored three times.

Conquerors outclassed the Untouchables 14-2 after a nine-try first half.

Rashim Pearson scored five times for the Conquerors.

Rusty Pipes survived a late rally from the Pengwins to hang on by three points.

A three-try effort by Rusty Pipes’ Benjamin Newie-Mene and two tries by Kirsty Kubala and Simon Jenkins helped them take the win.

Meanwhile, in the final match of the night, Slingers forfeited against Infamous Touch.
