Community awards now open

WA community superstars have a chance to shine with the 19th Community Services Excellence Awards.

The biennial awards celebrating community achievements were launched at a Western Australian Council of Social Service New Year Sector breakfast in Perth last Tuesday.

The awards will remain open until February 26 and take place on May 2 at the 2018 WACOSS conference.

Community Services Minister Simone McGurk said previous winners included unsung heroes such as Zonta House Refuge Association, which provides support services to families who have experienced family and domestic violence.
