Dragons achieve thrilling one-point victory over PHADS in round nine of Hedland Netball

A nail-biting one-point victory by the Dragons over the PHADS was the highlight of Hedland Netball’s round nine at Faye Gladstone courts last Tuesday. The other fixtures in B-grade were more one-sided. The Illusions dominated the Eagles 75-22, in one of the highest-scoring team performances of the season. The Spectres defeated Lynx 38-16 in B-grade’s final contest and sit six points clear on top of the ladder. In A-grade, the Dragons toppled the Spectres 37-33. Ladder leaders the Eagles easily dismantled Lynx 52-29 in the top division’s second fixture. C-grade competition featured a 38-21 victory by the Spectres against the Illusions and a 37-25 win by Lynx over the Dragons. C-grade is extremely close at the top with Spectres, Illusions and Eagles all tied on 10 points at the top of the table. Port Hedland netballers now have a two-week break from the competition.
