East Pilbara kids urged to dream big as Optus unveil grant package as part of the Women’s World Cup

Youngsters from the East Pilbara are being encouraged to apply for some big sport-inspired grants that will help them achieve their goals. As part of the upcoming Women’s FIFA World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand, Optus is offering $192, 000 worth of inspiration grants to kids across the State. Optus has specifically called on kids from the East Pilbara to apply for the grants which can be used to overcome some of the challenges they may be facing in their life. Anyone between the ages of 13 to 19 can apply for the grants and they are not reserved for young athletes. Optus head of consumer marketing Cam Luby said kids from the East Pilbara were being targeted to help them over overcome some of the obstacles in their life. “For young Australians, we want to help remove some of the daunting challenges teenagers face when making decisions about their future dreams, with financial burdens being a key barrier,” he said. “Our Inspiration Grants program is there to help young people from Eastern Pilbara kickstart their dreams and realise their full potential.” Applications can be made up until August 20 for one of the 64 grants available that are worth up to $3000.
