The Town of Port Hedland has unveiled an exciting line-up for its upcoming 2024 Odyssea Festival, set to feature renowned Australian acts Eskimo Joe and Dan Sultan.

Town of Port Hedland mayor Peter Carter said it was an exciting announcement to share with the Hedland community.

“Eskimo Joe and Dan Sultan are well-known Australian names in alternative rock music and will put on a great show for our community,” he said.

“This is the music event people have been asking for, and I’m pleased to confirm this headline act for the 2024 Odyssea Music and Arts Journey.”

It follows the success last year of headline act, rising Australian music stars King Stingray.

In addition to the Odyssea Festival, Port Hedland will also host the Red Country Music Festival, adding another highlight to the town’s live music calendar.

It comes as the town confirms a significant $375,000 three-year sponsorship initiative dedicated to supporting music and arts events in the region.

The funding will not only bolster the Odyssea Festival and Red Country Music Festival but also support a variety of touring events aimed at enriching the cultural fabric of Port Hedland.

Among the events are ARTRAGE’s Rocky Horror Picture Show Immersive Experience, the Scribblers on the Road Festival, and a community concert celebrating West Australian regional music.

Furthermore, the programming will include a special performance by Emma Donavon during NAIDOC Week

“The Town of Port Hedland is committed to providing quality events to improve liveability in Hedland by connecting our community with a lively and engaging cultural scene in Hedland,” Mr Carter said.
