Fee waiver to be decided

Taylar AmoniniNorth West Telegraph

Large-scale not-for-profit and community groups may be able to apply to have their fees and charges waived if a new policy amendment is approved at tonight’s council meeting.

Under a proposed amendment to the Fee Waiver for Not-For-Profit and Community Groups policy, the size of a group and dollar figure waived will not be capped when hiring community facilities. If the council does not amend the policy, no community group will be able to receive a fee waiver for facilities of more than $1000 a financial year.
