Fest in seventh year

Camilo BlancoNorth West Telegraph

I am happy to say the North West Festival will continue for its seventh year this year.

A revised event management structure, increased cost efficiencies and stronger promotion of local talent will form part of the event planning.

The decision follows the council’s annual review of the event, which will lead to a move from a long-term contract arrangement with Perth-based Sunset Events to a flexible and localised model managed by the Town.

The annual review process of the North West Festival provides an opportunity for the council to evaluate the event against its strategic goals and budget. It also ensures we are delivering an event the community wants.

The North West Festival plays a great role in celebrating Australian music and provides a unique opportunity for young local musicians to gain access to world-class entertainment experiences.
