Fighters put on a successful show

Boxing enthusiasts from all over the Pilbara travelled to Whim Creek Hotel recently to support the Unit 2 boxing fight night.

The event, hosted on Saturday, August 19 was sanctioned by Boxing WA and included eight bouts of boxing, five fights, and three exhibition matches.

Professional boxer Danny Green was among the crowd of spectators who watched the highly skilled boxers from Wickham, Port Hedland, and Perth put on a great exhibition of skills and abilities.

Because of the event’s success, organisers are considering making the competition an annual event and are encouraging more people to become involved.

Organisers said they were grateful to the Whim Creek Hotel, Boxing WA, the sponsors who supported the event, the coaches, fighters and Green.
