Hedland housos have let their mullets flow and dressed down for a Bogan Bingo extravaganza.

There was more than a few pregnant smokers and flannel shirt with thongs costumes as patrons celebrated a night of uncultured competition at the Hedland Riders Association to raise funds for Hedland Gymnastics Club.

Organiser Kristina Quince said the event had raised about $2500, and members were considering setting a date again for next year.

“It’s the first event but it’s been sponsored through the use of their venue by Hedland Riders Association and we are hoping that it will be an annual event,” she said.

“It’s better than we could have imagined, there’s a couple of games of bingo and a whole load of fun.”
