The Newman Chamber of Commerce and Industry raised $3000 at its charity golf day last month.

A dozen teams braved the cold, rainy weather on Sunday, May 28 to play a round of golf while raising money for Saving Animals From Euthanasia and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

Advanced Pest Control came in first, with Marina Bricklayers placing second and Customer First Contracting third.

The Newman police team, Trotters, won the prize for best-dressed team with their pink pig ears and snouts.

Several local businesses donated gifts and prizes for the day, including $1000 worth of vouchers from Caltex, wine and cheese boards from Cellarbrations, and one night’s accommodation, dinner and breakfast at Oasis@Newman.
