Hedland gallery exhibition Radius showcases work of emerging local artists

Art lovers are set for a immersive treat at the Courthouse Gallery for the next seven weeks as three local early career artists display their work. Featuring the work of Amelia Blanco, Sarah Green and Paulette Jadzinski, Radius 5.0 is open until May 3 after opening on February 23. The free exhibition from The Junction Co. invites visitors to “share their stories, visions and distinctive voices with a broader audience”. “Through their unique perspectives and creative approaches, these emerging talents bring fresh vitality to the contemporary art scene. The exhibition serves as a testament to the success of the Radius program, highlighting the growth and innovation fostered in the Pilbara region,” the gallery says. “Each artist’s work within Radius 5.0 reflects not only their individual artistic journeys but also the collaborative spirit cultivated by The Junction Co.’s commitment to fostering artistic excellence.” Green describes herself as a graphic/surface designer, with her handcrafted artworks largely inspired by the natural environment around her. She enjoys working with watercolurs, inks and acrylics. Blanco, who calls Hedland home, focuses her art on movement, light and shadow. Jadzinski is also a Hedland local and said her artistic practice was “deeply rooted in the diverse tapestry of her surroundings, drawing inspiration from the people in her daily life in Port Hedland, her love for her carer Jane Bolton and finding creative resonance in the artistry of singer Selena Gomez”.
