Hedland’s sports heroes: Nominations open for 2024 Community Sports Awards

The Town of Port Hedland, in partnership with BHP, is calling on the community to recognise the sporting heroes who make a difference by nominating them for the 2024 Community Sports Awards. The Community Sports Awards celebrate outstanding achievements by individuals and groups across Hedland’s vibrant sporting landscape. Whether it’s an athlete, coach, or dedicated volunteer, the awards honour those who inspire and contribute to the local sports scene which plays a crucial role in bringing the Hedland community together, promoting health and well-being. Now it’s time to honour those who contribute to this vibrant sporting culture through the Town of Port Hedland’s annual Community Sports Awards. Categories include a $1,000 Individual Award and a $2,000 Sporting Group of the Year Award, providing a chance for the community to celebrate its sports heroes. The event is made possible by sponsors including BHP, the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, Horizon Power, ITOCHU Minerals & Energy of Australia, Domino’s Hedland, and Pilbara Ports.
