The Sharks were on the attack once again in the latest round of baseball in Port Hedland.

Fronting up against the Swans, an early 3-0 lead to the Sharks in the first frame set the tone for the match.

No runs were scored in the second innings, in the third the Sharks scored one and in the fourth innings the Sharks scored three runs.

At this stage, the Swans were still yet to get runs on the board.

Impressive batting performances by the Sharks’ Aaron Derschow, with three runs batted in, and Wes Tullock (two runs batted in) made it tough for the Swans to catch they break they needed.

Swans finally got on the scoreboard in the fifth innings with three runs scored by Aaron Thomas and Jarren Connel, to the Sharks nil, however it was too little, too late for the trailing side.

Despite seven strikeouts by Swans’ star pitcher Mitch Williams, it was the Sharks’ who won the day with a final score of 7-3.
