South Hedland cops seek information on Newman assualt

South Hedland police are investigating the assault of a women in her 60s in Newman at the weekend.

The alleged incident occurred between midnight and 12.30am on Sunday morning outside a residence on Armstrong way.

She suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to Newman Hospital.

Detectives are searching for witnesses in the area at the time of the alleged assault who are able to provide details.
