Local business set to benefit from Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce’s new South Hedland co-working space

Small business owners in South Hedland have a new place to call home with the opening of the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce’s new co-working office space, the South Hedland Hub, which opened its doors on May 6. The facility features flexible co-working areas, office suites and a meeting space which will promote the growth and diversification of the Pilbara small business community. BHP General Manager Port operations Cindy Dunham said the opening followed a successful launch of similar space in Port Hedland. “We are proud of what the WEB Business Hub in the west end has achieved over the past five years and are excited to see that momentum build in South Hedland,” she said. “We are passionate about supporting small businesses to think big and take that leap from a home-based enterprise to a thriving business. This is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the Pilbara is a great place to live and work.” Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce chief executive Claire Boyce said an expansion of co-working space to South Hedland had been high on members’ priority lists. “We are excited to be expanding our services and opening a co-working space in South Hedland, which is something that has been highly requested by our members,” she said. “We look forward to continuing to support the business community of Port and South Hedland and thank BHP for their continued support of the PHCCI.” The centre is part of BHP’s $1.5 million three-year partnership renewal with the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
